The Virginia E-ZPass Reload Card:
1. What is the Reload Card?
The Reload Card is a wallet-size card that can be purchased
and linked to your E-ZPass account. You can use it to manually
replenish your account with cash at any participating retailer including Virginia locations of 7-Eleven, CVS/Pharmacy, Fastmart and Shorestop.

2. How does the Reload Card work?
Simply hand your new card to the cashier and pay your
initial reload amount from $10 to $500, plus the $1.50 retailer convenience fee. Once the cashier completes the transaction,
the funds will be on the card but need to be transferred to
your E-ZPass account by linking the card to your account.
To do this, follow the steps on the back of the card - call our
toll-free number at 1-855-583-5306 and have your card
and transponder number available. After following the
instructions, the funds will be immediately credited to your
linked E-ZPass account*.

3. What should I do with the Reload Card after linking to my account?
After purchasing and linking the card to your E-ZPass account,
keep it in your wallet so that it is conveniently available to
add funds immediately to your E-ZPass account without
needing to make a call. Simply take the card to the cashier
and pay your chosen reload amount plus $1.50 retailer convenience
fee - funds will be credited to your account immediately*.

4. Where can I use my card for future reloads?
For your convenience, your card may be used for future
reloads at any participating retailer.

5. Can I use my Reload Card at the toll plaza or anywhere else?
No. The Reload Card is linked to your E-ZPass account and
transponder. It cannot be used at tollbooths as a way to pay
tolls. The Reload Card is only to replenish your E-ZPass account.

6. Are there any fees to use the Reload Card?
Yes. There is a $1.50 retailer convenience fee each time you reload
your card.

7. Are there any other replenishment options?
Yes. While automatic replenishment is still the most popular
option, you can manually replenish your E-ZPass account
online, or by phone, with a credit or debit card. You can also
replenish with cash, a credit or debit card, or by check, at
any E-ZPass Customer Service Center.

*Note: As with any payment method, if your account was negative before
the reload, it may take up to 24 hours in-state and 48 hours out-of-state for
the new account status to reach the toll lanes.
