Connects the counties with downtown Richmond and everywhere in between.

Number of E-ZPass Only Lanes: |
8, including six Open Road Toll (express lanes).

Location of E-ZPass Only Lanes: |
- Powhite Main Line Toll Plaza: three express lanes heading north and three express
lanes heading south. In addition, each direction has one additional E-ZPass only
lane at the physical toll plazas on the left.
- Downtown Expressway Toll Plaza: two lanes East and two West near center of plaza.
- During rush hour there are three lanes at the Downtown Expressway
with the peak flow. There is one lane at the Downtown Expressway
in the off-peak direction.

Speed Limit Through E-ZPass Only Lanes:
45 MPH in the express lanes. 10 MPH while traveling through the physical toll plazas

Light That Reflects "Unpaid Toll" at the E-ZPass Only Lanes:
Red. No light is present on the express lanes roadway.

Roadway Rules:
|
- No stopping or backing up in the E-ZPass Only lane or the express lanes.
- E-ZPass must be properly mounted at all times.
- E-ZPass is not guaranteed to work on motorcycles
- E-ZPass is accepted at all toll booths.
